Spring Break

Hey all! We just had a fun spring break seeing many of the beautiful things our Heavenly Father has made. We went to Bryce Canyon, Zion's National Park, St. George, Mesa Az. for the Easter Pageant, and to Vegas. We stopped at several temples including: SLC, St. George, Mesa, and Las Vegas. Most of the pictures are on the other computer- but, Here are a few pictures from the trip- with more to follow ;) Here are some of the favorites from our trip.

Memories

Well, Emily has shortened her name- I think it came about after too many parents looked at me funny when she introduced her self as Emily Jean Lima Bean....yadda yadda yadda (I can't even begin to remember the whole thing!) well after that we sat down and had a talk about real names and pretend names. So now she is Emily Jean Gibbons- although today she added cookie to the end....I have a feeling there will be more to follow.

It has been a pretty interesting week- it all started when I caught the dishwasher on fire- you would think that something that has water run through it couldn't catch on fire- well let me tell you, it happens...:D I am getting an average of 2 new kids a month (which doesn't seem like a lot but trust me in my tiny classroom it is a ton!) they are all really cute.

Caleb has started jumping off everything, and has one new word- No. You ask him a question for example- Do you want chocolate? His response, an indifferent no accompanied by a head shake...what a kid.

Emily is getting her tonsils out in the next couple of weeks. I am hoping it will help her sleep...It has been a long time since she had a good nights sleep... The other day she told us she prayed to Heavenly Father for a daddy....and that He said she needed to wait a little bit...What a girl.
Here are some good old pics of the kids.

20-29

20. I hate feet, I hate touching them, washing them etc. The only thing that is worse than feet are socks on feet..yuck.
21. I make an exception for feet of children under the age of 4- after that get them away, socks are gross after kids start wearing shoes (so baby socks are OK with me)
22. I would stay in college forever if I was independently wealthy, I would get several degrees including a BS in soil science, a speech therapy degree, and a doctorate in School Psychology. (just to name a few...)
23. I do not like conflict- I may lead people to believe I do- but trust me I hate it, it makes me stay up and worry half of the night...I would rather avoid it and have a well laid out plan on how to deal with the situation if and when it comes up.
24. The first thing I ever sewed was a bag with a drawstring- I hated it! Now I sew when I get the chance and have made Halloween costumes, dresses, and PJ's. Its even become remotely fun!
25. I like taking digital pictures- maybe that would be another thing I would do if I became independently wealthy- have great camera equipment and take pictures all day.
26. I would love to learn how to edit my pictures (easily not the 10 hour method I have now) to highlight a color in the pictures (such as Caleb's blue eyes)
27. Caleb is a slobber monster- still. He can have his shirt wet down to his belly button by noon. I have to idea what to do for this- and he is way to big for bibs...
28. Emily has a fascination with folding paper. I routinely find pieces of paper shoved here and there that she has written on and hidden for someone to keep.
29. Emily hides the above mentioned papers from Caleb and then forgets where she put them until after Grandma or I do.

Deere, John

A few weeks ago we went to the Agri-Days expo at the college campus. Caleb was in awe. We first walked in and all he could do was gape at all of the tractors. After walking around the perimeter of the building he began to warm up a little bit. But it wasn't until he discovered that he could climb onto the tractors that his eyes lit up. Here are a few pictures.

11-19

Ok so I have discovered that 100 things can be difficult!

11. I just got a full time job offer to teach special ed in a local school district, and am very excited!!
12. I have four older brothers and one older sister. SO....I learned to eat what was on the table and hurry up before there wasnt anything left ;)
13. I like to have a hidden stash of chocolate lying around- something I can have when the kids are both in bed.
14. I slept with a night light until high school- not because I was afraid of the dark, but because the basement was so blessed dark I couldnt see anything without it.
15. Caleb loves to wear shoes- so much in fact, that he puts on a pair every day- in fact he changes them several times a day (now if only we could get him to match the shoes ;) )
16. Emily worries a lot- to the point of obsessiveness. We are trying to help her stay a little girl and not worry- but I am afraid it is impossible.
17. Emily's favorite colors are blue, purple, and pink.
18. Caleb's favorite color (occording to Emily) is orange, but I think it is John Deere Green.
19. I have a baby book that is 80% completed for Emily, however, Caleb's baby book remains empty-- I have switched to the calander method for keeping track of important milestones for the kids.
