30-49

I haven't done this in a while- here are more things you probably didn't know about me.

30. I have had surgery once- when I was 6 weeks old. I was born with a hernia and had to have it repaired....there is more to the story...but most of you don't know me that well ;).

31. I hate fall for one reason- I hate the smell of decomposing leaves. They stink to high heaven- this was brought to my attention when I lived in Lewiston and especially Moscow....yuck.

32. I am probably the strange person you see walking up and down the aisles of fabric stores or clothing stores touching everything....I like how they feel.

33. I can list several things I hate to touch- like naked babies during the summer, they are sticky and gross- that is why my babies always have clothes on when they are little (well one reason at least!)

34. I became a mom when I was 20- I missed being a teenage mom by 3 months...

35. I was in Envirothon and INEEL in high school- one was for tree huggers the other was a quiz bowl.

36. I danced from the time I was 4 until I graduated high school- everything from Ballet (yes I still use my pointe shoes) to tap to hip-hop swing and jazz. I LOVED IT! and I miss it....

37. I play the piano- I bet that is a shocker to most of you who have been in the same ward as me...I keep that one a secret for a reason.

38. Emily is allergic to grass. She has to wear pants, socks and long sleeve shirts during the summer if she is going to play on the grass.

39. Caleb and Emily both have a sixth sense- it is called the sense of Chocolate detection. Seriously, you can eat a piece of chocolate and within 5 minutes they will both be by your side, Em saying "I smell chocolate" and Caleb saying "Please Cocolate"

40. I have issues with things being sterilized or not being sanitized in my sight- like the dummies for CPR training- I didn't want to touch it...I never saw it get washed....or sanitized. I think I need a shirt that says "Are you sure this is sanitary? It looks Questionable to me.." just like the elephant said in Tarzan.....

41. I hate how hand sanitizer smells speaking of sanitizing.

42. Once upon a time I wanted to be a nurse.....now I hate the smell of blood.....

43. I had the best experience student teaching....Carrie was a lifesaver in so many ways. I learned that I could handle a classroom full of Kindergartners- and how to walk really really really fast! Oh and I learned I love teaching!

44. I can bend my thumbs backward over the back of my hands....and they will stay there until I move them...

45. I almost failed a drafting class in high school. The teacher was my own Dad...talk about harsh! :D I even had to bring home all of the drawings over Christmas in order to pass the class.

46. I was a computer Technician in high school....I think it was a phase that quickly came....and very very quickly left....

47. I was in the spelling bee in First grade...My word was "hill" any guesses why I still remember that? You're probably right. I missed it. I spelled it H-I-L....my first word was bed....until it was spelled instead of used in a sentence....:D

48. My senior year in high school I was not the most pleasant person to know...It was an interesting year- including the crutches....

49. I didn't think high school was all that traumatic... it was frustrating....incomprehensible....baffling... but never traumatic.

Holy Cow!

Well as I type this I am in awe. The school year is almost over- I have kids in class for 3 weeks, one week of paperwork stuff and then we are out for the SUMMER!!!! HOORAY!!!!!!!!

Emily- is definitely feeling better. She is back to talking nonstop, and singing songs every where she goes. She is also currently trying to eat us out of house and home- I think that girl has 2 hollow legs. Emily helped plant the garden this year- planting 4 rows of corn. She also helped to write her name in Carrot seeds. She is getting excited for swimming lessons and starting preschool again in the fall.

Caleb- is all boy. He is identifying the colors blue and red. He has several little tractors that go everywhere with him. He has also decided he wants to start sleeping with a pillow. In fact he will yell for his "pee-yo" until someone throws one in his bed. He is Grandpa's little buddy and is really enjoying riding in the trailer behind the lawn mower. I can't believe he is almost two!!!

Here are some older pics of the kids.
