Swimming Lessons

Before Swimming Lessons- They can hardly stand themselves. The goggles turned out to be the best investment!! Emily's swimming suit started off meeting at seam- but this girl grows by the foot- and needless to say- it is now officially retired as too small.
Emily really enjoyed her teacher- she had him for both sessions. He was great and pushing her to do her best.
Caleb showing off his mad skills- he loved to go underwater with his goggles.
Emily's teacher made them all kick while he was working individually with each student- what a great way to build up endurance!

Caleb Swimming with his teacher- he made great progress this summer!
Kicking on the kick board all by himself! This was one of his favorite activities!
Emily kneel diving- Her teacher was very patient, although he finally just pulled her in!
She curled up in a ball and quickly turned to grab the side. She tends to be pretty afraid of the deep end.
Caleb in the 10 ft section. He didn't go off the diving board this time- but he enjoyed his life jacket.

Creepy Crawly Days

The local museum opened their doors recently for a creepy crawly day. Emily wasn't interested in holding any of the creatures- although she did touch a turtle. Caleb was pretty hesitant to touch anything at first- but after a while he didn't think it was such a bad idea.

This was a brown "rubber band" snake. Caleb insisted it was green, and said it really did feel like a rubber band.

Our New Friends

Emily was super brave over Memorial Day weekend. Uncle Peter had us all out to his house for a BBQ- while we were there the kids were very interested in seeing the kittens that were under his house. We told Emily that if she crawled under the house (thinking that she was far too timid to actually do it) she could take a kitten home. Needless to say...

Verga is our grey kitten- she is really laid back and quite clumsy. The kids love to hold her because she never fights it- she just plays dead instead.

Figaro is our black and white kitten- she is a good hunter, and has been known to be quite feisty. She has calmed down quite a bit and now will seek out the kids by peering through the door in order to have them come play with her.

These are some pictures the kids took of the kittens.

Fun in SLC

Before we moved, we decided to see the sights (yes it took us the full 2 years to make it to a few of them!)

Both Emily & Caleb really enjoyed the pony ride at This is the Place- They both rode as many times as our entrance pass would let them. Between the ponies and the "train" that took us around the park- they were very happy with the adventure.

The last weekend the kids were in town we wen to the zoo with Aunt Maura and Grandma Millard. The kids had fund showing every one their favorite parts of the zoo.

Graduation!

Since this happened:
It marked the last of the time I would be able to spend with these Awesome, Amazing, Brilliant, Helpful, Kind, and Generous people. Thanks to you all :) You made my time in SLC amazing- and helped me more than you will ever know.
