Fun in the Sun

In September we went to Lagoon with some friends- the kids have a blast. Caleb is still talking about riding the garden snake (the kiddie dragon roller coaster) and they both want to go back and ride all of the fun things. At first Emily was really hesitant to get on any rides- but by the end of the day she was taking herself to each different ride. Caleb enjoyed all of the rides- but didn't really show it on his face...just wanted to go again and again.

First Day Of School

Today was Emily's First day of School, She was very excited to ride the bus. I can't believe my little girl is in Kindergarten.

Caleb- This is the saddest picture I have seen in a while. He was so sad when the bus pulled away he started to cry- which of course made me a little teary eyed. He then decided we would just wait there until Sister came back. What a sweet boy!
When the bus arrived and Emily got off at the Stop she was so excited, She ran up to me and said, "Mom this was the best day of my life!!!!"

Our New Place

Well we have gotten ourselves all moved- Thanks to Mom & Dad for helping us get everything down here- and for helping us haul it up the stairs...I swear never again will I live on the top floor :D
My friend Brigid came over on Monday night and organized my Kitchen- She is wonderful- so we can actually eat at the table- Also allowed me to work on the front room and the kids' rooms. She brought over her little girl so all three had a great time.

Here are some pics of our new apartment- well at least the front room and kitchen- the rest is still in progress!!

Whistles and Tonsils...

We have had a lot going on around here- between summer school and various appointments the past week has been one for the record books!

Emily has learned how to whistle in the past 2 weeks- now she is easy to find since she is honing her new talent! Grandma is keeping her busy with reading lessons and she is enjoying playing with her cousins that are visiting. Last week we had our annual visit to Red Fish Lake, Em was really brave and walked into the lake up to her waist (Pictures to follow- hopefully not too far in the future). I was pretty amazed with that as she is usually pretty timid in the water.

Caleb has several new phrases- the latest of which happened tonight at the park when he wandered too far and then came back over to me , giggled, and said "I was just kidding Mom!" other favorites includes "Maybe"- ranging from, "Maybe Uncle Peter would like this game.....Maybe I would like to play this game" and "Maybe this is my Diet Coke" We also discovered that his tonsils are pretty large- and due to quite a bit of snoring and irritability it has been decided that we need to go to the ENT and more than likely have them taken out.

Both kids also visited the dentist this week- Emily was so teary eyed when she found out she had 3 cavities- she even said to the doctor, "But I brushed my teeth every day" Caleb refused to open his mouth until the sugar free sucker was placed in his hand-at that point the little turkey opened his mouth just wide enough to let the Dentist peek inside.

We are also getting closer to our moving date- We will start moving things this next week- How quickly the past month has flown. We have most of our things packed up- but it will probably take us at least 2 trips with the truck to get it all down. And I was really hoping to move just the basics (i.e. clothes, beds, and kitchen stuff) Oh well!! We are getting very excited for a change- but will miss Grandma and Grandpa terribly!!
